P.U.P.S. Membership
Membership with P.U.P.S. allows you to rest easy, because we are here to help protect your underground facilities
and provide a safe working environment for those around you. We provide a communication service, which allows
P.U.P.S. to notify its members of anyone’s intent to excavate in South Carolina. As each call is received, it
is entered into P.U.P.S. computer system and our state of the art GIS mapping system locates the excavation site.
It is recorded and a notification or ticket is sent to the effected PUPS member. Upon receiving the ticket the
PUPS member sends personnel to locate and mark their underground facilities in the area of the excavation site.
With over 200,000 unintentional hits to buried facilities a year, P.U.P.S. is South Carolina’s first stop for
underground facility damage prevention.
