To acquire and process excavation notifications from all available sources and with the most efficient means possible; accurately disseminate this information in a timely manner to the appropriate member(s). 

PUPS will communicate a statewide damage prevention program that is both educational and informative and enhances maximum protection for buried facilities along with a safe working environment for the excavators and the public.
